I can’t believe this challenge is over, but I had fun, no matter that I only finished 1 book. 🙂 I look forward to the next Bout of Books read-a-thon.  Until next time.  -Kat Please follow and like us:0

Only on chapter two, but really into it so far. It’s different. Plus, it’s ebook, so my brain isn’t computing. haha No books finished yet. My mantra: –Kat Please follow […]

Are you like me and have a pile of books ready to be read but you just don’t know where to start? I feel your pain. I’ve been reading a lot lately, but mostly new books. So here goes (in no […]

New segment: “Scene it” Saturday

Because reviews for books are going at sort of a glacial pace right now, I thought I’d start something different.  What do you think of the title? Pretty…lame, right? haha no worries. If you have any better ideas, please say, The basis of this segment: I want you to tell me what movie you’ve seen lately. What movie you want to see and what movie was your favourite.  I’ll post reviews of any film I see, but the idea is that each Saturday, I or […]

My Summer Challenge…that may or may not work.

I thought I’d indulge you all on what I like to call The Book Readers Collecting Obsession From Hell. You know the type. The girl or guy buys and buys and tells themselves they WILL read these. But alas, sixth months to a year later (or in some cases, several years later) the books are still there. You’ve maybe read two or three of your stock pile but over all…yup, you’re just not making a dent. I severely have this problem. Oh, you don’t believe me?  Well…uh….TOUGH! […]

My #YALC experience (including some wickedly cool GIFS!)

Posted 16 July, 2014 by katheryn13 in Fun, Uncategorised, Updates / 0 Comments

HELLLOOOOOO THERE! I’m calling to you, my readers, to tell you what I’ve been up to. You might have heard of London Film and Comic Con. If you’re into your comics and/or your movies and books then perhaps you’ve gone to conventions. 2014 saw the arrival of the UK’s first ever Young Adult Literature Convention (or YALC for short. Which made me think of talc…I dunno.) And it was not at all as bad as I expected.  Don’t get me wrong, I know the authors that […]

Review: 5 Stars to THE COLLECTOR by Victoria Scott

He makes good girls…bad. Dante Walker is flippin’ awesome, and he knows it. His good looks, killer charm, and stellar confidence have made him one of hell’s best—a soul collector. His job is simple: weed through humanity and label those round rears with a big red good or bad stamp. Old Saint Nick gets the good guys, and he gets the fun ones. Bag-and-tag. Sealing souls is nothing personal. Dante’s an equal-opportunity collector and doesn’t want it any other way. But he’ll have to adjust, […]

5 stars to Perfect Scoundrels by Ally Carter

Katarina Bishop and W.W. Hale the fifth were born to lead completely different lives: Kat comes from a long, proud line of loveable criminal masterminds, while Hale is the scion of one of the most seemingly perfect dynasties in the world. If their families have one thing in common, it’s that they both know how to stay under the radar while getting—or stealing—whatever they want. No matter the risk, the Bishops can always be counted on, but in Hale’s family, all bets are off when […]
